-Poli, May 2018 Sardinia Yoga Retreat

"Sorcha’s yoga retreat was the first yoga retreat I’ve ever gone on and I was mega nervous before going: what if theres too much yoga, what if I get bored in Ulassai, what if I cant eat vegetarian food for a week, but fear not this yoga retreat was perfect. Sorcha is such a good yoga teacher and really looks after you, she adapted moves for people that were more beginner (I brought my bf who was a beginner and he loved it too and wasn’t at all daunted with all of the yoga), Sorcha took request on what you wanted to learn and she also gave really good tips for tricky things like inversions and we got to learn great variations which you don’t normally have time to learn in classes. Ulassai is beautiful, we went on amazing hikes every day and we even got to try outdoor rock climbing which is a million times more fun than indoor rock climbing. The accommodation is lovely and chilled and the food was DELICIOUS. I personally love bacon and all things meat and I didn’t miss it at all. Sorcha is one of the best yoga teachers I’ve ever had and if you need a nice break from London or life this yoga retreat is perfect! Highly recommend!"

-Lisa, May 2018 Sardinia Yoga Retreat

"With sessions both in the morning and evening, Sorcha was dedicated to providing us with a diverse and challenging routine for each class. She puts a lot of thought and care into designing the class to fit the unique composition of the group, and made sure to mix things up. Sorcha pushes you to improve your practice in a really encouraging and thoughtful way - never overbearing.

On top of that, the surroundings were absolutely breathtaking with class frequently coinciding with nearby church bells and sunsets. Once we even held class on the beach! After a week I felt rejuvenated and stronger than ever before. Thank you, Sorcha!"

Travel:

FLIGHTS

Sardinia has 3 airports that connect the island to the rest of the world. Cagliari (110km) , Olbia (180km) and Alghero (220km). There are plenty of cheap flights but best to book ahead. Cagliari is the best airport to get to Nannai.

CAR

Car rentals can be very cheap and will make visiting vineyards, beach days and exploring the local area easy. Make sure to take the new “highway” when driving to Ulassai, since older GPS’s might take you through the mountains. Follow signs to Muravera or SS125, after roughly 100 km on the ss125 there is a signed exit to Ulassai/Jerzu.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

If you’re on a budget and want to travel by public transport, Cagliari is the best option to fly to. There’s a train every 20 minutes from Cagliari airport to Cagliari bus station, from there you can take a bus 8€ (3hrs 15mins) to Ulassai. The fastest bus (no changes) leaves at 14.00. There are other times but it will take longer and you’ll have to change. Alternatively a minivan leaves Cagliari around 14h30 and does airport pickups for 15€ pp at that time only. Visit his facebookpage or contact me if you want to make use of this minivan.
